I LOVE this song. Something about it makes me think…
- I wish for every woman to end up marrying the guy who looks at her and sees forever. This seems simple enough… but too often women settle for being with the man who looks at her and just sees right now, she will do for now. Women, you deserve more. Settle for more. Deep down you know you can tell when you are seen as just an option.

It makes me think about how beautiful marriage is. How people settle for something so far inferior, and never know what they’re missing. How couples shack up and keep each other waiting and wondering if forever will ever start.
It makes me think about how marriage is this bubble you create to protect two individuals from the world. You are stronger because of that bubble. You have more to give to those outside of the bubble because of the promise of unconditional love that feeds you.
You build this world, this secret world that is so glorious, words can’t even explain it. Until you are actually in the throws of it, you will never understand.
There’s a kind of peace that comes only from knowing you are unconditionally loved forever by this other human being who knows all your flaws and imperfections, who gets the best and worst of you every day, who has promised to love you till your dying day.
It is absolutely profound.

Confidence is one of the top traits that attracts women. In fact, I would put confidence above money and looks. Remember Midori’s post on alpha males? Well, one of the main differences between the alpha male and the average guy is confidence. The alpha male exudes confidence while the average guy gives off an insecure, unsure, or nervous vibe.
A lack of confidence keeps you from attracting more women. But worse than that, many guys are not even trying to meet and pursue girls because they are not confident.
Fortunately, confidence is not a mysterious inborn trait that only a select few have. You can do certain things to increase your confidence and improve your interactions with women. But you will have to put in some hard work and be patient, since change doesn’t happen overnight.
What Makes People Confident?
To answer this question, a good place to look is the entertainment industry. For example, imagine that you are a contestant on “Dancing with the Stars.” However, the producers change the rules for practice time. You are only given 30 minutes to practice with your partner before you go onstage to perform. Would you be confident? Probably not.
The producers of the show give the contestants a lot of time to work on their dance moves and pair them with a professional dancer so they can learn and become better dancers. As a result, by the time they perform, they look confident because they’ve worked really hard and they’ve gotten great coaching.
Here’s my point: confidence is the byproduct of competence. If you are good at something, you will be confident at it.
Once you realize this, then it’s a simple process to think of the things that make you less confident around women and become competent in them.
Fill this blank: If I __________, I would be more confident.
For example, one common thing that guys have problems with is knowing what to say. Many guys are speechless around women. They don’t know what to say to beautiful women.
Well, there are many resources out there to help you. Do some research and find some tips that fit your personality. You might find some pickup lines, questions to ask, stories to tell, or other things to say to create interesting conversations.
Next, memorize those things so you won’t be caught speechless. You can even practice in the mirror to improve your delivery.
Then, start applying what you learned in social situations. At this point, it helps a lot to think of your interactions with girls as a learning experiences, as practice sessions. Don’t see them as high pressure events. There’s no pressure because you’re seeking to improve. Have fun.
During this process, continually evaluate your results. Some lines will work better than others. Stick with those and discard the rest. Of course, feel free to keep doing research to find new techniques and lines to try.
Over time, if you do these steps, you will become skilled at conversing with women and your confidence will increase.
Build Confidence in Any Area
You can become competent in just about anything so start working on areas in your life that keep you from being more confident. The key is to have a learning mindset and then put in the effort to improve yourself.
Here are some common things that you may need to work on to increase your confidence:
- Dealing with nervousness
- Making money
- Dressing well
- Transforming into an alpha male
Find good resources to deal with the areas where you need help and become competent in them through hard work and practice.

Fighting for Marriage Fidelity at Save Your Marriage Central

Marriages all over the world are being devastated by the latest Julia Roberts story celebrating her pregnancy with the husband she “bought” from his former wife in a nasty divorce battle. SYMC director and marriage coach Penny Tupy deals with the impact on a daily basis. She’s not shy about pointing a finger at the entertainment industry as being guilty of glorifying infidelity. “When marital infidelity among celebrities is portrayed as a love story, it demonstrates total disdain for the sanctity of marriage. We forget that real people, including innocent children, suffer very real and lasting hurt from these affairs,” says Tupy from her home in Prescott, Wisconsin. Tupy brainstormed a solution to counteract the negative impact, a national day to honor faithfulness to marital vows.
Marriage Fidelity Day is a celebration reminding us that marriage is a lifelong commitment to remain faithful in mind, body, and spirit to the covenant of marriage. Tupy and a group of volunteers are working to establish September 15th as the day set aside to honor this commitment and to highlight the destructiveness of infidelity. The initiative is well under way. More than half of the governors in U.S have been contacted already with favorable response. The ground-breaking initiative will move into in high gear over the next two months.
Governors receive a copy of the proclamation and a brief letter describing the initiative. The National Director for the initiative, Cindy Wolfe, will personally follow up with each of the governors offices to answer any questions and establish a working relationship with them.
SYMC chapters around the country will sponsor the Marriage Fidelity Day Proclamation within their home states. SYMC Chapters are extension of the SYMC marriage advocacy project and coordinate events throughout the year in support of marriage and family.
SYMC is also seeking grassroots endorsement and support for the Marriage Fidelity Day drive from several groups around the country. “Changing the perception of infidelity is not something we can do alone,” says Wolfe, “We are reaching out and joining forces with the many other organizations that care deeply about marriage, family and children.” Tupy plans to expand these contacts when she attends and presents at the Smart Marriages Conference in Dallas later this week.
Tupy’s dream and passion is to debunk the myth that an affair is a love story and to reestablish a commitment to marriage and family. Marriage Fidelity Day is a landmark event in this crusade.
