Mom and Dad,
For showing me a great example of a marriage that will last forever because divorce has never been and will never be an option.
For never fighting in front of us kids (except for that one time…Hey, you’re human!)
For creating a home environment full of laughter, music and affection.
For showing me that NOTHING we talk about is off limits.
For never making sexuality shameful.
Mom,
-
For teaching me how to massage. (Nate is very appreciative too:)
For showing me what submission and respect are by how you treat daddy.
For 3 minute hugs in the hallway.
For your corny “hallmark” sentiments I have come to cherish and find true.
For being the epitome of patience and devotion.
For teaching me the value of taking initiative. (Now that I’m married, I really understand that!)
For being the sweetest woman I know.
Dad,
For showing me what a man looks like and in return teaching me how to expect the best from men.
For loving me so much that I never felt drawn to a man because of a father’s absence.
For always expecting the best out of me.
For gathering our family to pray and read the bible every night, even after arriving from camping at 2 in the morning.
For always letting me hug you and always making me feel like you wanted me around.
For gym and Taco Bell “dates” when I didn’t have a valentine.
And Nate,
-
For making me part of your family.
For letting me in your bubble, now our bubble:)
For always being willing to talk about things and never going to bed angry.
For being the most selfless, most generous, and kindest man I know.
For being the same person in private as you are in public.
For making me not afraid of marriage.
For basically taking away all my major fears.
For choosing to love me forever.
Happy Thanksgiving Readers! Don’t forget to tell your special someone or your family the specifics of why you appreciate them:)
