Men may wonder why so many women have marriage on their minds. Maybe they want to raise kids in a traditional two parent home? Maybe they feel the pressure of family, friends and society because they are getting older?

But gentlemen, I don’t blame you for your trepidation. Even Hollywood has proven that having it all, having all the money and material possessions you could possibly acquire does nothing to help a marriage. Many women do marry for money. Many women are vile and argumentative. Many women are dependent on pills to not be depressed.

And at our core, we are a selfish race. We are all flawed. We all have baggage. These things do not stop us from needing companionship.

What to Look for in a Wife

I think if you enter into the dating world with the motive to find someone to spoil for the rest of their lives, and you meet someone who’s aim is to do the same thing, then you’ve got something very special.

You’ll know when you meet a woman if she’s all about “take take take,” or if her character is “give give give.”

I think that’s the main thing you need to look for: A woman who finds joy in giving and in going above and beyond when she gives. In the story of Isaac and Rebekah, that’s really the only thing that his father’s servant looked for when he was searching for a wife for Isaac.
